At TNH Health we believe that the way to make healthcare more sustainable and equitable is to focus on primary care: in particular by improving patient access to knowledge and monitoring of health risks. To do this at scale requires the use of innovative and disruptive technologies. That's why we go after patients where they spend most of their time: on messaging apps and social media. Our team of medical professionals and designers develop multi-channel Chatbots that effectively engage patients over time, identify risks as early as possible, and help resolve them before they become major health issues.
We strongly believe in the power of technology to democratize health. TNH Health, above all else, is a company built with a commitment to social impact. And we stand by it: since our founding in 2013, we’ve helped nearly 400,000 low-income people across Brazil. We are committed to re-investing a majority of our profits to keep increasing our impact for people at the base of the pyramid.
We at TNH Health have built our expertise around population health management for emerging markets and our solutions have been specifically designed for low and middle-income populations where cost and access continue to be major constraints.
TNH Health work with public health systems to educate and monitor their populations, many of which are resource-constrained. Some of work includes: monitoring Zika and Dengue outbreaks, educating low-income expectant mothers, and improving the success of family health programs. We also work with private payers, both large and small, to help them implement prevention programs that save both lives and dollars. Employers hire us to engage their workforces in healthy behaviors, especially if their employees are distributed geographically. Our bots are also used by pharmaceutical companies to improve their patient programs and increase medication adherence. We're also involved in several major clinical research studies.
TNH Health was founded in 2013 by Thomas Prufer (USA), Michael Kapps (Canada) and Juliano Froehner (Brazil), who know each other from Harvard University. We have offices in Brazil (Santa Catarina and São Paulo) as well as representation in the US (Miami).
TNH Digital Health is pleased to inform that, with support from the develoPPP.de COVID-19 programme, co-financed by DEG ("Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH") with public funds of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, the project "Mitigating psychological and emotional impact under a pandemic via chatbot-based mental health support" is currently being implemented.
The project aims to reduce the psychological and emotional impact on families and individuals under pandemic isolation measures by providing information and orientation tools with counselling features targeting domestic violence, conflict management, dealing with (job) loss and uncertainty, post-traumatic stress, mutual support and general mental health support features through in-app access to a team of mental health professionals.
